Drives SINAMICS V90 and motors SIMOTICS S-1FL6 form an optimized servo drive system for positioning, as well as speed and torque control. Through its optimized design, the system ensures high servo performance in a cost-efficient and easy way as well as a high degree of ruggedness.

Task
A SINAMICS V90 servo drive shall controll a SIMOTICS S‑1FL6 servo motor. Using an SIMATIC S7-1200, it shall be possible to select the following functions via a touch panel:

• Jog mode,
• moving at constant velocity,
• relative and absolute positioning,
• processing a command table (motion sequence)

Solution
The SINAMICS V90 is controlled via the pulse/direction interface (PTO) of the SIMATIC S7-1200. The move functions are realized via technology objects "Axis" and "Command table" as well as via the appropriate motion control system function blocks. The move commands are communicated via a SIMATIC Basic Panel, which communicates with the SIMATIC controller via Ethernet.
